Genisis 18:25 KJV That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
I hope so.

Two things that I want to address here, and I'll take the latter first.
Gen 18:25 is out of context here. Abraham was pleading with God to save two sinful cities. God gave him his request each time, knowing that the entire populace of these cities had given themselves totally over to sin, to the point of rejecting a "free gift" of a young woman to "know," instead, two men. God knew that there weren't ten men who were righteous in these cities, much less the fifty, forty five, forty, thirty and twenty that Abraham asked Him about.
In the context of the world, we know through His Word that there are no righteous people on the Earth at any time. Through acceptance of His gift we are made as righteous, but we are not righteous in ourselves or through any of our doing. We are all debtors to Him pretty much as soon as we can recognize that concept. If we accept the gift of Jesus's sacrifice on the Cross, then we have, in monetary terms, an eternal "line of credit" that covers our "overdrafts" (in the form of sin) for the rest of our lives.
So, leading from the latter to the former, again, I must point out that it is the faith in this one act - not an act of our own, nor an allegiance to a denomination - that saves us.
We are saved
by Grace alone
through Faith alone
in Christ alone.
Romans 3:27 - 28: Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded! By what principle? Of works? No, but by the principle of faith! For we consider that a person is declared righteous by faith apart from the works of the law.
EDIT: Plus, I own page two. I don't think that I've ever owned a page before in over 3400 posts....
