How did our local police become militarized? I worked in an agency that went through that transition and it bothered me at the time and still does. This video is a little extreme IMO but it's worth looking at and contemplating what happened and why.

While i agree that what those two did was wrong i still have to admit that they did it very well. They took on an entire police force with fully automatci assault weapons ina commen calibur and laid waste to the area. The planning and effort that went into that act states that if these men wouldve applied theses skills to anotehr more productive activity then they could have just as easily made the same ammount of money that they attempted to steal perhaps tenfold in no time.

Millitary cops is beyond disturbing....wwwaaaayyyyyyy beyond. Wrong at abut a gizzion levels....not just the rights issues, but the attitudes of the garbage.....

I briefly dated a girl whos son was one of these and we had a midnight discussion over cop power--the issue was smoking in my truck (he was a smoking-hater)...and he flat-out told me that if he decided I cant smoke in my truck he would just call his cop buddies and I would be harrased and pushed until I did something stupid--then I would be taken down.

and he was correct.

Personally, I dont think the kind should be allowed to live.

They should be executed on sight as (thier terms) "an immediate threat to persons and property"

Many U.S. law enforcement officers are also in the National Guard. The militarization of police is influenced by this close relationship especially since the Guard is now defacto active military.
