Anyone know of a belt that DOESN'T set off a metal detector?

All of mine seem to.

Rumor, I have one I can send ya if you are interested. 5-11 Operator belt. Send me a PM if you are interested. I find myself not wearing it, and oddly enough I've only worn it half a dozen times in 3 years.

It's surprising how many men's shoes have metal supports that set off the detectors. When flying you have to take off shoes but there are many other places like courts and prisons where the metal supports are a problem.

Google using keywords "men's-shoes", "metal-detector" and "friendly".

You can buy men's (and women's) airport-friendly shoes ...

I havent found any airports that let you wear your shoes.. They see them as a big area to put dangerous stuff that doesnt make it beep in a metal detector.

My belt has a moderately sized metal buckle that doesnt set it off.

I worked with someone who had an artificial leg. He often had to clear a metal detector, sometimes several times a day. Every time they would use the hand wand and the leg would cause it to beep. He was never required to take the leg off and pass it through a scanner.

Yeah, last time I flew, I had to take off my shoes before even reaching the walk through scanner and I had to put my shoes through the X-Ray machine...

Do they give you something disposable to wear? Sounds like a health risk.

You pack your stash in a bag of coffee beans in your checked luggage. Preferably a boutique brand that looks like a gift.

Regarding metal detectors, apparently some Adam Henry did something to hide a weapon in a belt, so now I have to take my belt off whenever I go to the court house. I don't wear a belt for decoration, I wear it to hold my pants up. So everyone gets to see my drawers if I have to go pay for a ticket.
