Got it in the mail today, have not flown it in a while.
I'm installing now.
Anyone still flying it?
Still fun?

Every Night... I use the same joystick as you too.
I finally bought a microphone to talk to the control towers for online, always try to kick me because I don't communicate with them before take off...

Sounds cool.
Never flown MFS-X on line.
Have to try that out!

If I remember, don't they have online play that involes flying the bigboys on actual schedualed routes?

Yes they do actually... People take it very seriously.

They have flight teams where you can fill out an application for a "job" and do set flights for them. They might say leave from XXXXX and go to XXXXX for delivery, time and weather are XXXXXXX and so forth. I just stick to open world free flights so I can just fly around. What is really nice about online is you can share a plane. If you wanted to you could sit in on my flights and be a copilot.

Did you get the gold edition with all the add ons? The red bull planes are really fun to race.

If you ever wan't fly with me just shoot me a pm and I'll give you my game spy name.

Just the reg-a-leg-a-ler version.
Cool, will do, if I ever take it online.

Yeah, I've used it. I hope you have a really powerful processor *and* video card, it's a HOG. But if your system is up to it, it's a hell of a program. I really need to get back into it, considering I can't afford to fly right now. It's good practice. I love working with online air traffic controllers.

Boonie I play it alot. I use a Saitek Pro flight yoke with rudder pedals and throttle controls (two sets as I normally fly twins). I have a headset for online use and love it. You can go to www.simviation.com and download all kinds of aircraft for free. I am patiently waiting for someone to either make a payware or free version of the Velocity aircraft as that is the aircraft I want to own eventually.

I'm running dual-core overclocked with two pretty beefy videocards.
Graphiclly, everything maxed, and I mean everything, still totally flyable even with lots of taxi-way traffic.
Not 50 fps, but well enough to fly ground level through cities.

My system is getting long in the tooth, but can still pull stumps!

P.S. The Service Pack 1 for the game is said to improve performance by 20 to 50 percent!

Should be perfect. As long as the game isn't a slide show.
