I had my first 96 Dodge intrepid with the 3.5 v6, 6 passenger interior, upgraded auto trans and all electronic controlled independent suspension (cop package special edition)

It had a nice Infinity stero system and it pumped nicely with heavy bass, large roomy trunk, awsome HID headlights and the light primer gray that only a few came with.

i miss that car so bad sometimes that i have actually thought of getting another one and modding it the same ways i had mine done(straightpipe exhaust w/custom longtube headers, drag slicks and a custom tune.)

call it a family/grandma car if you want to, i wanted to be buried in my old "Gordon" when i was 16.

my mom has a 95 "sport" intrepid with the auto stick feature its a rare combo since they didn't come out till 96, i want that car. she really gets up and moves with the 3.5 and handles like a dream. would probably be the only car i would ever want with the dodge logo on it.

How does it work? I am familiar with longitudinal engines and their transmissions in tandem with CV axles, but how do you drive the front wheels with a latitudinal engine and transmission?

Having had my whole engien and cradle out for a oil pan gasket replacement i can say that basically the engine sits above and into the Transmission in an almost rwd way.

Actually somewhere on the net there is a guy who took a Dodge Dakota rear and mounted it on an Intrepid and built a adapterplate to his trans and uses his 95 for drag racing.

ill try to find the links to how the engine is done up.

Did anyone else notice in the video at the "MW TV intro" after he says "Aston Martin club", it shows a Pontiac Fiero GT body line, spoiler and rear tail light?
Begins right around the 33 second mark.

I thought I did, but since it was from 93 I thought maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me. So I'm not crazy. Well maybe I am, but my eyes still work.
