Wow! I guess I just haven't been paying attention. I had no idea. I know many of you won't think much of this, and some will probably say, “Well, yeah. You didn't know that?”. But to me, this is amazing!
On June 25, 1964 Janis Joplin and Jorma Kaukonen recorded a few old blues standards at Jorma's House. They are known as the Typewriter tapes because a typewriter was used as a percussion instrument.

Jorma is one of my all time favorite guitar players.. especially the hot tuna stuff.. he really is at the height of his powers right now, I would recommend anyone to go see him play with Jack.
Williegoat, once again, has the best taste in music on this forum. (Except for me, of course..)

Edit: just listened to Trouble in Mind, very nice.. I guess that's Jorma's wife on the typewriter in the background. He was 24 when these recordings were made.. I did not realize he was actually 70 this year.
