Yeah. Say bye bye to this thread quick. You haven't been around Fieros long enough (well... maybe you have, but not this forum) to know the whole story. I can encourage you to do is a massive amount of searching through the archives and the net and you'll get a good surface idea of what Shawn is about and how Real Fiero Tech, Pennocks, and Archie correlate into one another, but even then you're likely still going to be confused or making premature conclusions. I can point out some things though.

Some Pennocks members actually post there with frequency (myself not included as for some reason I was not approved to be a member there). Some of their members still post here. RTF is and can very often be a nice little source of Fiero information. It's members do the same build threads and experimenting with Fieros any other Fiero enthusiast would do. And honestly they're still Fiero owners like every other enthusiast Fiero board.

That being said though when one speaks RTF indeed one thinks Shawn, and he doesn't speak a lot about his own personal doings. I believe the last thing he was putting together was a 3.4L DOHC turbo (I for some reason can't recall if that's still his car or if he was into another turbo project). They have cleaned up the forum quite nicely too, as many of the gibberish threads that people like LowLux flooded the forum with have long been purged away.

So just search and search I guess.

FIrst off, this tread has nothing to do with archie. Its seems he clogs up youtube with comets that are just "talking **** ". I was just wondering why he is such a ahole. Anyone ever met him in person?

Unfortunately, while your intention may not be specifically towards Archie the fact that you mentioned Shawn makes it so. Again, all I can say is do some research.

I belong to a few forums including RFT and can say that the general members at RFT are great people. They are still on here also as well as myself and some go by the same screen name. As I stated, Shaun has issues with this forum and Archie. Other than that, he has always been cool to me on that forum and even sent me a welcome when I joined the forum. He does have issues with Pontiackid and they argue all the time but other than that, the tech section is full of information. The other issue is that most of the members of that forum firmly believe that you can do exactly (or more) with a 6 cylinder than an 8. The tech section has more of the experienced guys where they TELL you what they are doing rather than ask questions. As far as the negative ratings, Kris, as I stated, there are tons of active members that float between the forums and you are SURE to get some kind of rating for this thread.

Ohhhhh yeah! When I first joined this forum, my first two threads I posted went downhill fast. People thought that I was Shawn. I met him through YouTube, and had no idea of his history or anything. Even though he was in heated debates with others, I respectfully asked questions genuinely wanting his opinion. Much of what he said made sense, so I guess inadvertently that same kind of talking transferred over here to my posts, and people thought I was him simply because I was asking the same questions as him.

I don't think he's such a bad guy. We PM'd a few times and everything went well. However, he does have beef with Archie, and he has a pretty big number of haters. When it comes to him, you will find drama isn't far away. For that reason, I chose to end our conversations. I wanted to be a part of THIS community, and I didn't want to be stained by someone else's past.

When I was being blasted for sounding like Shawn (which IMO was pretty irresponsible of the members, but after hearing all about his past I understood the confusion), someone was kind enough to PM me some history of Shawn, and why he has such a bad rep. If you want to hear it, I'll forward it to you in a PM.

He does have some valid points, and I think he's a pretty educated individual; he just carries a lot of hate on his shoulders. The most influential thing he said to me, was in the form of a question: "Why are there no videos of V8 Fieros running quarters? The only V8 Fiero vids you see are them sitting in the driveway idling."

Idk much mechanically about cars, so I can't really form educated opinions very well. That's part of the reason I joined this forum. But from what I can tell, educated people are found everywhere, just some are a little more misguided than others.

This'll be my last post in this thread; when it hits the trash I don't want it showing that I heavily contributed to its downfall.

So I dont know whats going on over there, but if you had been here long enough you would realize that given its reputation, you wouldnt want to be assosciated with it, much less a member, not at least until the memory of its roots has faded.

Howard Sacks if I got the name right started PSF, which changed to RFT

Howards Sacks is the owner of RFT and the previous Pennocks Sucks version. Shaun Michael Hammitt (shaun41178(2) ) is a moderator on RFT who likes to abuse that priviledge. He sticks mostly to the "RFT vs. the World" section, that is where mostly he likes to bash this forum and it's members. He also gets a hard on if people talk about him here. He feeds off that and i bet he even has a thread going on about this thread on RFT right now. One day his mouth is going to write a check his ass won't be able to cash.
He did show up to one of the Daytona Beach Fiero shows, a few years ago, and even was serenaded by a PFF member.

I remember it well. And yes, you can tell the people who were not here, or not attacked in his random acts of violence.

Basically if anyone said anything about any V8 in here, that person was almost immediately attacked. His main goal wasn't to "share his knowledge about engines", though I still believe he is a smart guy. His main goal was to stop anyone from liking any V8 for any reason, and blocking any spread of information that was useful.

I don't know anyone that started RFT personally, and I could really care less, but keep in mind that even now I believe that the majority of attacks on this site (DDoS etc.) originate from members on that site, and are (or were) encouraged to do such things. It was started as a site to attack PFF, and changing the name didn't change that IMHO. They have had a lot of opportunity to prove otherwise, but have not done so.

For a long time I know that site was the place where all the banned members went to fume, and plot against "The evil PFF".

Every time I've posted videos on youtube of car shows some variation of a shaun name trolls it. You'd like to believe people have better things to do with their time.

basicly, he did not like the V8 dogma, and was outspoken about it. and, like all extremists, took it to far, with endless escalation & bridge burning. he was fighting the losing battle of "public perception". he was upset by the fact that at car shows, people would "oohh & aahh" at V8s, and not his built & comparable powered V6. Tho, history has now shown him to have been correct - if you look at the 1/4 mile list - you'll see the top times are mostly V6s, NOT V8s. But, that still doesnt change the fact that at shows, people still love the V8 over V6s. Tho, more & more of the public is starting to appreciate the 3800SC.
