Hey guys I have two suzuki ts90's I was going to fix up and title. I am running low on cash and thinking of just scraping them all together. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to go about this. I have a bill of sale for them and they havent been titled in over 20 years we checked that out. Im not looking to deal with the 200 it would cost to title them to just turn around and scrap em. I am in ohio if that gives anyone the ability to help more.

Well I don't know about OH but here you can have an affidavit drawn up stating that they have been junked or parked for
that many years and usually the clerks office will knock off those past years.Since you are trying to register them again.

If you are just gonna scrap them, I wouldnt worry about the tittle...all you need is a weekend, a socket set and a sawzall and they are no longer vehicals, but rather 100 bucks worth of recyclable steel.

When I lived in WV we used to take vehicles to OH to scrap them and we only needed a title if they were newer vehicles. I think I was told less than 10 years old needed a title or something like that. It was about 5-6 years ago though, but I took a 1990 300zx and a 1993 Dodge Dynasty with no questions asked at all.

Hope this helps.

Have you gone by and talked to the recyclers? They probably have the most up to date info on what you need. I am sure they deal with this on a regular basis.

Usually need title to crap any vehicle, but if you cut it up enough it is alright. My brother and his friend are big scrappers. They had a problem scrapping a Mustang II with a title because the guy at the yard said the car was not a mustang, dumbass

I guess I'm lucky to have a local junkyard that don't ask questions.
I junked a '84 2m4 about a year ago and the word title never even was said.

Ohio is one of the few states in the US that allows you to do pretty much anything. You can "register" a car with nothing more than a bill of sale as long as the vehicle is older than 10 years.

There are actually several companies which make use of the Ohio DMV system to get titles for abandoned cars. Basically, for someone like me in Florida, I would pay a company $500 bucks. I technically SELL them the car (provide a bill of sale). They register the car under their company, and then SELL the car back to me with a real title (from Ohio) that I can then take to a DMV here in Florida and legally register.

From that aspect, you're lucky. ALL you need in OHIO (unless it's changed) is a bill of sale when the car or vehicle is over 10 years old.

Here if you don't have a title for a vehicle you are scrapping you simply need to sign a piece of paper stating that it's not stolen etc. etc.

You will get great info by simply calling the scrap yard.
