I ended up buying a different camera, an 
MD80 clone, as I liked the fact that it comes with a bunch of attachments. I'm sure the innards of the camera are very similar if not identical to the 
Gum Cam.
I use a 4 GB class 6 microSD card with it.
The video quality is pretty good, but one thing that really pisses me off is if the camera is left on until the battery gets too low, it powers down and the AVI file is not saved correctly. The file size shows up as "0 kb", although Windows properties will show that the flash card has 1-2 GB of 
something on it. I think what happens is that the header for the AVI file is not written properly, and therefore the recording is inaccessible. 
I've tried several different photo recovery software applications, but nothing appears to work. Any smart cookies out there have any suggestions?

The price... Without a flash card, I paid $6 for it on eBay. I've seen them go for as little as $2, and that includes shipping!
