Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine said his party would campaign against Bush this fall even though the former president wasn't on the ballot, blaming him for the recession that started on his watch — rather than the Democrats who controlled Congress starting in 2007 — because "presidential leadership sets the tone."

I guess they are going to try and equate any Republican candidate with Bush again, like they did with McCain. This might backfire on them.

Yup.... they will try to turn each Rep. runner as Bush politics. It will back fire. Obama has dug this hole in the sand and it is starting to crumble... it is only a matter of time before people realize that Obama is the worse US President... EVER.

I don't know about worst. IMO, he still hasn't surpassed Jimmy Carter in that respect. But he does have a few years to go...

He has, just that we wont see many of its effects for decades.

I also feel that Jimmy cared about the country and did his best, and was not malicoius in his actions. He was just inept.

Your are on point.

I think he has surpassed Carter in the appointments he has made to his regime. They have already hurt this country more than Carter did and they have two years to go!

If you think it is bad now, just wait to see what happens if he is re-elected in 2012. Imagine what this man will do if he enters a lame duck term where he doesn't have to campaign for re-election!

I am sure all of the themes got tossed around before this decision was made.

Are you better off than four years ago, nah, no good.
We can't go back to failed policies of the past, wait that's us.
The world is a safer place, hmmm, too many words to remember.
We have creates millions of jobs, or was that saved, too confusing.
Hope and change, old hat, and still to many words.
I got it, "Bush's Fault"!!
What a smart idea, and anything more than remembering two words will be difficult for the sheep.

We have a winner!
