And Beats The 50/50 Rule.
The average adult has a 50/50 chance of surviving a 50 yard swim or 50 minutes in 50 degree water.

That 50/50 equation is fatally flawed by the omission of one incalculable aspect, Boonie. It is called indominable Spirit
What a heartwarming tale. Thanks for posting Don

Or people who don't want to hog the mic. If it was an American he'd be on every talk show trying to get their 15-minutes and a Reality show to boot.

Unless he has an active warrant out for himself, that would make him want to ditch the press/ attention...

(NOT SAYING THIS IS TRUE)

I wouldn't.

I rescued a guy some 20 years ago who was laying out in the middle of the road. All i did was wait for the ambulance, and asked if could leave.

And no, i didn't have an outstanding warrant or was someplace i didn't want to admit

Good person for helping but i can understand why he didn't stick around. I didn't when i helped a couple out of a car that went in the water years ago... got out of the water, made sure they were breathing, other people were around so i left. It was cold out and i wanted to get warm and dry. Didn't need the aggravation either.

Well if it were me, I'd want to get to where it was warm and I could change out of the wet stuff asap.

I also strongly disagree with the negative statements about what an American would do after. From my limited world travels, from hosting exchange students I find that we are much more alike others around the world that not.

I applaud the French man.
