They followed signs directing them toward free parking, only to later discover that their cars had been towed from a Kappa Sigma parking lot. The 53 Beck fans had to shell out $125 each at the impound lot. The owner of the tow company says it was his busiest day ever. The Beck fans believe it was definitely a set-up, motivated either by dislike of Beck or greed. "Maybe they have a deal with the tow truck company, or maybe they got kickbacks under the table," one motorist told WFTV. Kappa Sigma members declined to comment.

Unless someone is caught or fesses up, I'd suspect the Tow Truck Owner. He's got the motivation and would know where off limit parking is. Proving it might be impossible but.................

they do something similar in poughkeepsie ny. been going on for years. and it's $350 +$50 each day to get your car back. Police are in on it. nobody does anything about it either. just don't park @ poughkeepsie DMV.
