I managed to drag a hole into one of my intercooler lines on my car. The intercooler tank is in the back under the trunk so the lines run front to back under the car, which scrapes over anything it tries to go over. (working on that soon)
So anyway, I drug a hole in my line and it is an Areoquip socket-less hose and fittings. I have absolutely zero experience with these hoses. As I understand the hoses just slide onto these barbed fittings and never come off? Can I cut the old hose off my fittings and reuse the fittings? Any chance I can just leave the fittings on the car?

Cut the hose off and slide on the new hose?
Ya know.. Common sense tells me if these hoses can hold pressure and never come off... they can not just slide on.... What's the catch?
