Teacher tackles gunman after school shootings
Sheriff hails math teacher as a hero for preventing ‘a more tragic event’

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id...ws-crime_and_courts/

An outstanding act of selfless bravery. I want this guy teaching in my schools.

The headline should have read Teacher tackles gunman during shooting rampage. The gunman was still trying to kill kids!

Its amazing the composure this guy had under pressure to not freak out and realize that he could stop this. Then to have the courage to do it. Very cool.

"The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department said Eastwood is an unemployed ranch hand and former student of the school who has been attending community college off and on in pursuit of his GED."

Another reason "why" students should get a education while attending school. Don't try and blame society for their ills when your 32 yrs old.

Good for him. This is a good example of how remembering the past can help. This happened in Littleton the same city as the Columbine shootings. Had Columbined never happened, this teacher may have been caught by surprise and flat footed. Don't know for sure, but I'm sure the past had influence on his present day actions.
