Picked up a head gasket set on ebay in preparation for the head swap on the 3000GT. Made by Eristic Gaskets. Was $65 to the door for the entire set, with a MLS head gasket, Viton valve guide seals, and all the other gaskets I need. Looks like they are made in Taiwan.

Question is, has anyone used the Eristic head gaskets before? What kind of quality are they? I've searched around and come across a few different reviews, mainly through the honduh/acura forums. General consensus with those guys is the HG is crap but the rest are good. Just wondering if I should invest a bit more money and buy a set of Felpro permatorque MLS gaskets, or go all the way and buy some Cometic gaskets (at $175 a pair )

Any info on these Eristic gaskets you guys can supply is greatly appreciate

Hmmm...DOHC transverse V6. Uhhh, yeah, I wouldn't waste my time on anything that wasn't extremely high quality.

A basic rule is:

Do you really want to do this twice?

I didnt think so. Get the quality stuff and do it right.... The first time.

(Even if its a lowly duke...)

Thats what I thought. Trying to do this as cheaply as possible, and I'm getting most of my parts from my favorite place online, Rock Auto

They've gotten a lot of cash from me lol.

Good thing is, the Felpro gaskets from them are $35 a set for head gaskets alone (the set is $225 plus shipping)

Thanks guys, appreciate it. If anyone still wants to chime in and let me know the quality of the Eristic HG's feel free to

Bump.

Even though I'll most likely order the Felpro gaskets, I still have to wonder about these Eristic ones...They are MLS gaskets, like the Felpro ones...If they were made in China instead of Taiwan, I'd definitely say hell no. But seeing the Taiwan part kinda puts my mind at ease a bit about using them. Look at Rodney's ball joints and whatnot. They are made in Taiwan and are great quality...
