After putting up with a horrible pain for some time, I decided to find out what it is. I have not been to the doctor on this yet but I am going next week. I often look up dieseses/syndromes what have you, so I decided to look up what might be wrong with me. After about a week of research and study I think I have it narrowed down to Eagles Syndrome.
I am not a doctor or anything close to it but after looking up all I can on this, its defintion, symptoms, other complications, case studies, ETC... I think this might be the answer to my pain. I have many of the symptoms listed for this, so I think I might be on the right track.
My question to yall is.... Does anybody know anybody with this? Maybe you have it? (I understand its rare) Iam looking for anymore info on it. Any help, advice, knowledge is welcome. Thanks
Zach you just said "I am not a doctor or anything close to it " Real doctors have been wrong in their own evaluations and you COULD be wrong also. All I am saying is go to the Doctor (next week) and let him decide what you have.
I hope everything works out good for you.

I had all kinds of pain back in July in my arms and legs. Very painful just to get out of bed in the morning, subsided with movement. The internet turned up shingles, rheumatoid arthritis, and others. There was no indication that it might be viral, which is what the rheumatologist told me. I'd had some sort of virus that my body didn't like, so it reacted, essentially giving me a "temporary arthritis." After a run of Prednisone, it was gone.

It could be worse, you could have Redskins Syndrome. That's uncontrollable desire to root for a completely pathetic team. On the serious side, go to a doctor. Hardly anyone on a car forum would know about Eagles Syndrome and even less know what to do about it.
Isn't Eagles Syndrome when you're old and run out of money so you round up your friends and do a reunion tour?
If you search on the Internet long enough, you'll find a syndrome for anything that ails you - and a million shysters to sell you a "secret" elixir that will cure it all.

I didn't read the link. But I'm reminded of a sign at my doc's office. It lists the price of a visit, and below says something along the line of "those with an internet diagnosis are charged double."
I think he's semi serious, he hates dealing with people who self-diagnose.
How many times have we heard from non-car people, that their vehicle needs a new starter, and we come to find out they're out of gas or some other totally non-related issue? Same with health care. Get it properly diagnosed from a knowledgeable source. 1am on ehealth.com or something ain't gonna do it.

Been there. I had really nasty pain in the center of my back, and in my neck. Both were totally unrelated (as it turns out) and dismissed by my doctor as "psychological".
If I had any recourse, after so many years, I'd sue the b!tch.

Thanks for all the advice and thanks for the laughs. I will be going to the doc on friday. Hopefully I will find out then.
I am quite aware of me being wrong, hopefully it is not anything worse. I do have a habit of looking up things and thinking I might have it but I have toned that down quite a bit (should have seen me a year or so ago) drove my family nuts.
Thanks guys

Whatever you do, don't self diagnose yourself, go see a doctor. My wife thought she had food poisoning and it turned out to be a ruptured appendix and a blocked small intestine. If I hadn't insisted that we go to the hospital when we did, she may not be here now. I hope she will be well enough to leave the hospital by this weekend.

Oh yes I know this. Back when I had my "episode" of thinking I had anything and everything (by ways of internet) I got a good talking to from my doctor. It can be very dangerous for people to do this. It can lead up to getting sicker, taking wrong meds/to much meds/Death.
I guess I just wanted to have something to say to my doctor "hey doc, what do you think about it being..."
