Its very odd to me. I just turned 22 a few min ago and nothing seems diffrent. I totaly forgot my birthday was today. I just walked in and my dad and grandma wished me a happy birthday and I litterley forgot about my birthday today. I mean I turned 16 and got my drivers licence. I turned 18 and was able to stsy out past curfue. I turned 21 and was able to get drunk as a mofo. Now what else is there to look forward to except lower car insurance at 25. I know theres marrige and kids and death but other than that it dosent seem like theres any major points in life that come with age. Did anyone else feel this way after 21?

No this isant a regretting my life thread im totaly fine. Just got me thinking.

Rick,

I felt exactly the same way when I turned 22. I thought oh great all exciting birthdays are over. And to be honest they are. I am still very young (28), but now the birthdays do not matter. But what does matter is the accomplishments you make in life. After 22 I met the girl of my dreams, moved 3 times, bought my first house, bought my first new car, got engaged, and became very boring. You still have lots of great things just about to come, just not some much on set dates.

Please tell me before you blew out the candles, you wished for a job?

You gotta tell me all about that busy week you've been having?

Edit: I gotta bust his chops or he'll end up like brian w/o a job for a year

Hey!!! Just because you get older it doesn't make you boring. Older folk sound boring to the youngsters because they don't want to hear the knowlege that we have.....because they've ( youngsters ) done it all already.

Ah, even if she doesn't at first like cars, you can teach her. My wife didn't know anything about'em till she met me. She put some wrench time in on my Somoma. She also put alot of cleaning time in at the shows before it would get judged.

That seems like the only way to make a girl understand someones love for cars.

I miss this girl i used to date in highschool. This girl was every car guys dream. Georgeous looking could hangout with the guys and knew what she was doing under a car. Hell every time we would work on her truck together i would pull into her driveway and she would come out from under the truck lookin like she had been working on it for hours. all dirty and everything. OHHHHHHHHHH I cant tell you how much of a turn on that was.

Hey PontiacKid,

I felt similar to what you felt on your birthday. I turned 23 recently and I did not realize it. There are more things to life at this young age. Just like what Delorean said. I have opportunities to become an airborne ranger, special forces, an officer, finish my bachelors, get a masters, pimp my car, buy a house, and etcetera. Everybody keeps mentioning that age 25 car insurance is cheaper. I guess i should really look forward to that if it is such a big deal lol.

You mention you are taking a physical fitness test soon. Every time you spell something wrong, do PT

I hope you succeed and become a good cop, and happy bday

Thanks ghost. I think being an officer would be the best thing for me. It interists me and i think i could make a diffrence being one. Thanks for the kind words.
