Anyone do laser engraving or similar? We need ball valve handles made up with a company name and on/off. I have found a company that does them, but the do not sell to supply houses and we would have to use their ball valves. Neither of those work for us. Quantities would be discussable. We would need 2 or 3 sizes and 2 different logos on them. One with ours and one with one of our customers logo. Doesn't have to be laser, just has to look good and last. Here is the site I was on that had what I wanted. Anyone have any experience or know someone who does this?
You get a mask/stencil (the image you want on a film that sticks to the metal you want etched) and use acid to etch the metal's surface. The mask/stencil protects the metal you don't want etched by the acid. You would have to have several masks/stencils made as they are usually made for one time use. You might be able to find one good for multiple uses. These are also used to etch the vin number on your vehicle's glass. Here is one place that sells what you need to do the job. http://www.etch-o-matic.biz/

I think I will buy and try one of these, but I really am talking about hundreds of valves, so someone making a rubber handle would be ideal. Plus there is the potential for that to carry an electrical current. Possibly a bad thing depending on the application.

PM me your info. I work at a machine shop and we could work something out with CNC to get what you want engraved on the handles for you. We are ISO 9001 cerified as well. We can handle any amount you need done as we have 11 machines.
