It seems in todays world of political scandals, upset economy, high unemployment, and general chaos, we are overlooking the fact we are still at war. The media barely covers the war at all. Its like we are trying to forget about it. But we still have men and women putting their lives on the line, and it seems we don't take the time to thank them.
So to everyone who has served, is serving, or is going to serve. Thank You!! You have my admiration, respect, and gratitude.
So if everyone can just take a moment and think about the sacrifices these people are making to keep our country free. Remember they are more then just nameless, faceless, soldiers.
Thanks for your support. Sometimes we forget that there are still people back home that support us. Thank you also to all who have served, are serving, will serve.

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protestor to burn the flag. "
Thank you and your families for the sacrifices you make every day to protect our freedom and to bring freedom to those who don't have it.
I was in Florida last week and a lady had asked why I wasn't in school. I said that I was unable to do this semester of college because we are deploying to Afghanistan. She commented, "Oh, we're still in there?" I was left speechless.
But thank you for saying that and thanks to everyone else serving.
