I was just talking to a friend of mine, who's daughter's friend is under a coma and doctors aren't expecting her to live. She is 16 years old and she fell under a coma after taking the Gardasil vaccine.

Anybody hear issues with Gardasil or has had their daughters take this vaccine?

Doing a quick check on the internet, there seems to be a much higher serious side-effect problems with Gardasil than any other drug.

My daughter took the three shots that make up the vaccine, as did my son's former girlfriend. No adverse side effects for either of them. My sympathies go out to your friend's family....it's hard to believe when something like this happens. You take your child to the doctor for vaccines to help keep them safe, not to kill them...

Yeh, there have been a LOT of those stories around the alternative news websites, and IIRC there are some pretty serious legal action brewing over it. Sterilization also seems to be a "side effect"

ALL drugs have side-effects.
Fortunately, they strike only the very smallest minority of people taking them.
(I really have no idea about the percentage of Gardasil patients, so I won't attempt to draw or force any conclusions in that regard.)

Of course, if it's one of your loved ones or friends, it doesn't matter how few other people were affected.
I said a prayer for the girl you mentioned.

A girl I went to high school with died from a reaction to antibiotics she was taking for a sore throat.
Went to the same doctor as I did.
How many other times had she taken the same thing, with no ill effects at all?
Ya' just never know...

What did people do before all these "just incase" wonder drugs?

I just hate to hear stuff like this.

More people got sick, and spread more diseases. In this day and age, most people do well with these sorts of vaccines, but for those that don't its always a terrible thing.

I had a friend who had just gone off to college. He was sick with a cold and was prescribed some kind of medication. Later he decided he felt well enough to play some basketball. After playing for a while he started having problems breathing. A friend drove him to the hospital but he died before they made it. This was not the doctors fault but it was the medications fault.

Doctors are not perfect and I trust them in some situations, but some people take there word as gospel. I was told I needed glasses when I was about 8 years old, a week later at school my eyes where tested and I had 20/20 vision, the eye doctor just wanted to sell my parents glasses. Some doctors are crooks but history is full of doctors that just didn't know any better(read up on the history of morphine) no matter how much we think we know about medicine we are not perfect, medications will kill people and medications will save peoples lives. If I feel like I can do without a medication( hydrocodone I didn't take when I had wisdom teeth removed) I will not take it.

I was told about the sterility problems, by a doctor, after a Health Clinic worker told me I thought I should ask. Why on Earth would someone give their daughter something that very well could cause her to be sterile? And only because there is a "chance" of problems later on in life?

Testicular cancer "could" happen to me, but ain't nobody doing nothing to my boys until I am good and ready. (O.K., until my wife says I am good and ready.)
