Well, I have now been in Oklahoma for almost a month now before heading to Iraq. I have to say I love it here, except for the wind. But these 70-80 degree days in February kick ass. I'm missing the family, but I get to talk to them almost daily, I figure I should do it now while I still can. I miss the Fiero terribly, I had finally gotten to take it for the first real drive right before I left. I almost forgot how much I love driving them. But hey, just wanted to drop a line, and say hello to the peeps back in PA, and to the Oklahoma people as well.

Hulki good luck to you over there. Remember...the terminal T will stop them dead in their tracks as will a double tap to center mass and one to the left of the groin. Yeah I am a tactical shooter in the military. Have a safe one man and see you when you get back.

good old ft. sill/lawton my hometown i miss it.
wish you had your car there so you could drive thru the wildlife refuge.
if you ever get that chance just watch out for the longhorns and buffalos walking
down the middle of the road. that would be one collision i don't want to see.

Stay safe in Iraq!

They say it's windy because Texas sucks and Kansas blows But yeah we can have 70-80 summer weather in February one day and a layer of ice across the state the next, haha. That's if it gets cold enough, if it doesn't get cold enough for ice you get tornado's because of the previous heat.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I think I want to move here, I love Oklahoma. I'm thinking about opening a kite shop when I get back, the wind is something around here. I also noticed what is called the original Fort Sill, which actually looks like a fort. I want to take some time and visit it while I'm here.

Evidently, Ft Sill in Jan/Feb is nothing like Elk City Okla in the same time period. Coldest place I ever worked--with the wind howling and nothing between there and Canada but a couple of barbed wire fences to stop that incessant wind, ice and blowing snow.

Good luck wherever you go!!

I miss living in Oklahoma. The D.C. area is the complete opposite of what I love about OK. I hate it here. Someone get me out! Please! *bang bang bang* Hello out there, can anyone hear me?!!!

Oh, sorry about that. It happens every now and then (all the time)... At least my wife is in here with me.
