well, the original durango RT that i wanted to purchase from teh salvage auction has not been listed again yet, However 3 hours away is another one.
can you guys spot any damage i cant see?
what i see is: drivers side doors have damage, and the rocker area under the door as well as the running board.
i also see the passenger side rear rim is broken and the tire popped off of it.
its a 01 durango RT 90,200 miles 3rd row seats and rear air, seems to be very well equipped, i cannot tell if it has a sunroof or not.
doesnt look like a bad repair job to me, should be easy for me to fix.
took me forever to figure out it had 3rd row seats, but the 3rd row seats are seen in teh rear pictures, i can see the outline of the 3rd row headrests through the back glass.

Door and floor beam (days job for a good welder) 2 doors , rocker, tire, allignment.. dont look like it was pushed TOO hard sideways, so it should have VERY miminal crimping of the floor panel. Its possible the door beam could be pulled back out and reskinned without actually replacing it.
Dont look flooded, but weird staining on the second row drivers seat cushion.. maybe due to the drivers back door pulled out some at the top.
Was it listed as not running? I am wondering why they dont show the dash and key turned on.. Usually if the vehicle is drivable, they will put a booster pack on it to start so they can get more for it.. (They leave the lights on when they get them to kill the batteries to prevent any possible shorts when stored in the yards)

yes it has a runs/drives guarantee, i didnt post the picture of the dash lit up, cause it only shows the mileage, and nothing else.
good eye's above showing that the front rim is busted too, looks like about $200 shipped to replace both broken rims.
im going to have to think long and hard on this one.

Id be very leery myself. Ive seen worse cars setting on used car lots. There must be some reason a newer vehicle with what looks like maybe $1,000 damage wasnt repaired and sent to salvage. I repaired a new Firebird that had to have a new front clip, new front subframe (pulled engine and trans), new hatchback, pulled out very buckled floor pan after removing interior, replaced entire dash w/ both airbags, replaced front and rear glass and the insurance company paid out over $20,000 to fix it.
Runs and drives warranty is nice way of saying it can move at least a few feet under its own power.

Matthew, We just sold off our Durango. It was a 98, but had a lot of miles on it. The doors had been hit similarly, but they were not anywhere near as badly damaged. It had a cloth interior though. It sold for 1,500 on ebay. Nick

I don't see anything wrong with it myself. On a side note, I JUST purchased a set of chrome R/T wheels off Ebay last night for my 2000 Dakota 4.7 sport. Depending on how much it sells for you could part it out and make a pretty good profit. The wheels, even not being chrome will bring $400-$500 with or without tires. There's a guy right now on my Dakota forum http://www.dakota-durango.com/forum/ looking for a 360. Look under the wanted section. Or you could join their(my) madness over there!

I wish I had known you were looking for one. He put it on ebay, but took it off for someone who put in the $1500 offer. The guy came from Grafton with a trailer, assuming it didn't run. I think he got a really good deal on it.
