Actually we were. We would like to know that we are paying the dollar for dollar price. But Bush and the rest of congress (on both sides of the aisle mind you) push through a plan without thinking it through and we get screwed again, and again, and again.
Rushing into things without doing proper research works great. And smart americans do it all the time. Actually no, none of that is true. Most people actually pay attention to getting the best deal because we can't afford to just throw money around.
