ok so my computer ended up getting a virous. so i wipe the drive with a drive scrubber and reloaded xp back on it. but know i dont have any sound suff meaning volume controls or anything else that would deal with the sound stuff. i have checked the drivers and stuff but they are all saying the they are fine any solution to what might be wrong and what could i do to try and fix it. by the way it is on xp.

Are you talking about the controls at the bottom right in the task bar? I had the same problem. You have to reload those. They are not on the xp disc. They are on the driver/application cd. You can d/l it if you don't have it. Should be on the M$ website.
