Of all these cars, the only ones purchased new are indicated by the **
The only imported car that my wife ever owned was the 90 Miata that she purchased new, before we met.
Edit for motorcycles - Forgot about the 78 Kawasaki KZ400 that I bought new in '79. Had a couple of Hondas and two Triumph motorcycles. All were bought used.

Unfortunately, none. I'd love to get an old Toyota project car (MR2, Celica All-Trac, Supra, AE86) or an older 98-01 Impreza. Maybe a BMW or Audi daily driver. No more big 3 for me, thanks.

I have never purchased a new car that was Foreign. I have not purchased many new cars. Only three and one was for work. All were American. I find it is a much better deal to buy a car after a couple years. Still damned new but half the price. Have bought and sold literally hundreds of both American and otherwise used though.

I had a Subaru WRX. It was a fabulous car, but the only import brand I have ever purchased. I bought it more because it was what I wanted, and no domestic offered a similar vehicle, AWD, sporty, nimble...

I have owned as many foreign cars as I have wanted to. Just as many United States cars as I have wanted to. Neither worthy of a count. Now, wanna talk Fieros ? 70 Chevy P/U's? Chevy Vegas ?
I had a British Leyland Austin many, many years ago. Everything else I've ever had has been North American built. Even my 2000 Honda Goldwing is built in the U.S.
I have owned as many foreign cars as I have wanted to. Just as many United States cars as I have wanted to. Neither worthy of a count. Now, wanna talk Fieros ? 70 Chevy P/U's? Chevy Vegas ?
Cars that I have owned and sold: 1977 Olds Starfire; 1970 Chevy Nova; 1969 Chevy Camaro RS; 1981 Toyota 4X4; 1978 VW Scirocco; 1970 Porsche 914/4; 1970 Porsche 914/6; 1988 Isuzu Trooper2; 1979 VW Scirocco; 1991 GMC 3500;1988 Jeep Cherokee . Cars that I own : 1985 Pontiac Fiero2M6; 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT(4sp) 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT (auto); 2002 Chevy Blazer .So, I have owned 6 Foreign made cars and 9 "American made " cars. Although the Blazer may qualify as foreign due to content.
Foreign cars I have owned: 1974 Jensen Healey 1981 Renault 18i ---(POS, don't ever buy a Renault!!!!!)
Domestic cars owned in the past: 2001 Dodge Ram Sport--posessed (not reposessed just posessed, as in, by demons) 1998 Dodge Dakota R/T--should have kept that one 1982 El Camino 1979 Ford LTD 1979 Cadi Cpe Deville 1974 Chevy Nova 1976 Dodge Charger SE 1969 Super Bee 383 Magnum w/air grabber hood scoops (OMG do I wish I still had that one) 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 (My 1st car)
Cars I own now: 2001 Dodge Durango R/T Wife has owned: 69 Buick Grand Sport 1997 Ford F150 70s Sunbird 1986 Fiero GT (bought new) 79 Monte Carlo 1984 Indy Fiero 87 or 88 Cougar XR7 2007 Dodge 300 (wife's car) 89 Lebaron Convert. 93 Nissan Altima
Man did that get screwed up. the cars I own now got shoved together with the ones my wife has owned. the sunbird, Monte, Cougar,Lebaron, and Nissan belong in the 'wife's owned' column.

Chevy luv and a 1st generation Sebring coupe. ( i guess the convertible was built here, the coupe wasn't
)
I found that out sorta by accident. I ordered a bunch of body parts for a Sebring coupe and got parts in Mitsubishi boxes from the dealer. I called and told them they sent me parts for an Eclipse and they said yep. Its just the outter sheet metal parts that differ. All the hardware like window, handles, etc were same part.

1996 Eagle Talon ESI (same as Mitsubishi Eclipse) = POS! Spent mondo tons of money keeping the thing on the road. Money pit #1 (SOLD) 1998 Eagle Talon ESI (same as Mitsubishi Eclipse) = POS! 4 trannys and blown engine. Money pit #2 (SOLD) 1987 Mazda RX7 GXL = Another money pit (#3) that currently needs an engine rebuilt (oil seals & vortex are iffy) and tranny/clutch work.
My 1988 Fiero Coupe has cost less than all of the above to mantain and is still running & driving just fine.
