At least your current conditions are an anomaly that rarely occurs. When it snows here and further north, it stays for a long time. Don't get me wrong, I'm as fer south as I want to be but, I also don't like snow. Enjoy it while you've got it. It won't be there long.

Couple more for ya Brad....I do not want to kill those with dialup though... I bet you'd remember most of these places however if you spent much time in the city...
Funny thing is, to me, New England and the place up there is for the snow. I'd like my place in the deep south to stay well... deep south. Pretty cool though, especially for the novelty of it and the fact it rarely snows here unless its a perfect setup of systems to make it happen... Thus the need for a bit of picture taking this morning...
You got more than weve had in Ohio this year so far.
The Gorites will always have an explanation, no matter what the event. They still will say its due to Global Warming (AKA Climate Change since that no longer fits). By renaming it climate change, they cover all the bases. To me, no matter how they wiggle it, its just the natural cycle of the planet, and there all full of BS.

Yep. Funny thing is, it was not below freezing at any point during the snow, which has since stopped. It was coming down at a rate of over an inch per hour though, and the totals in some areas would have been 8-9 inches had it been sticking... Just 30hrs ago I was out at 9 at night wearing a t-shirt to dinner.
Sunday's forecast is mid-70s again... just one of those in the right place at the right time sort of things, I know one person who slept through it all.

When I was at Tinker AFB in Okla City I had a Plymouth convertible. On a lunch break I took 3 other pilot friends out with the top down to a local restaurant / bar to hang out and shoot pool for a few hours. We went out to leave and found 4" of snow on and in the car. You can get ice on your plane flying if its 75* out in the middle of June.

Well, yeah you could, but at 75dF at SL, you'd have to be at 12,000ft. Usually, it's a freak and unexpected cold front that brings that kind of change.
The last time I was in New Orleans was last August. It was over 90, with the full humidity. REALLY hot and sticky. Looking at that picture and thinking of that heat, all I can say is "crazy, man!"

I would probably go with those who think that freak weather patterns are completely unrelated.
Just because its called global warming doesnt mean the only thing that happens is heat.
Im sticking with the scientists with PHd's on this one, they seem to know a thing or two about stuff
Well, OK, if it's not just about heat, what *is* it about? I thought it was about CO2 creating more heat retention, and higher average temperatures. Unless CO2 can create more and less heat at the same time, this seems like a pretty weak argument.

Which ones? They are all over the place on this. Some say it is real and others say it is a hoax. Some of the PHDs think we are on the way to another ice age.

I don't know if all have PHds, but try 650 of them...
Northshore up around hammond, etc, had something like 5-8" ON THE GROUND according to what the news was saying... Unbelievable. In fact, in the history of all records kept since the Spanish came over to Louisiana, yesterday was the earliest EVER snowfall was recorded in New Orleans.

Well, our cruisers, at least in this part of the state, are just nondescript white crown vics with vinyl lettering on them. In fact, normally, they are just parked places with no officers inside them at random. I hear that you can get tickets here, especially since they added the traffic cameras in, but, I have yet to know anyone in my days here that has gotten one. Then again, the roads are in such bad shape, speeding is a bit difficult to accomplish in most areas

Oh, really? Because most of the global warming (now climate change) people were USING every freak WARM-related weather pattern to trumpet the need for reducing carbon emissions.
But now that they are freak COLD-related weather patterns, we are going to suddenly switch to actually using logic?
Why does that kind of behavior make you think they "seem" to know a thing or two? You mean like scientist who can't even enter world temperature readings accurately, but publish their graphs with the wrong information?
Why are you so enamored that someone has a PhD but then act like 1st year students? I guess you can follow the educational degree. I'll follow the actual behavior of those people.
That's another inconvenient truth, isn't it?
