had a close call in my car, just got the tranny in and took it arround the block, car seemed real sick running like crap
pulled in the driveway after like a 4 block idle and there was gas spraying all over in the engine bay (EVERYWHERE)
gas was smoking and sizzling on the engine (very close call)

my hardline was replaced down by the filter with rubber line up to the fuel rail at the time of the swap
right by the rail where it connects is where it split, but i just noticed that the rubber line is marked "tranny cooler line" on it
i will replace it with the correct line, but it will stay rubber
what psi do i need to meet or exceed with the rubber fuel line?on a sc3800
i dont know id it got snagged on somting hanging from the cherry picker while doing the tranny swap, or if the line simply got soft and ruptured

any help is appreaciated

It could have been either (cherry picker or a soft broken line)

Fuel line says "FUEL LINE" on it. It is specific to that use. When you go to the (example only) "Autozone" make sure you ask for FUEL LINE and check the markings on the line. If it doesn't say "FUEL" on it, its not for gas lines.

Yes it will. F.I. line is higher in pressure and it has its own special line, too.

Yes EFI rubber lines and Carb rubber lines are DIFFERENT! The EFI lines are designed for high pressure, Carb rubber lines are not. Be sure it is labeled an EFI line! if it just says "Fuel system hose" or something like that, it is a carb line. You run a chance of blowing the line if you use just carb line, because it is only designed for 9PSI max and EFI line is for 60+PSI. ALSO Do not use regular gear style hose clamps, use band style hose clamps, gear style will not work right for EFI line, and also damages it.

Gear style hose clamp:

band hose clamp:

it should be obvious which one can take the 60+PSI and which one just damages the rubber line

Specificly ask for fuel injection rated fuel line. If it is not over $5 a foot, they are giving you the wrong stuff.

i got some rubber fuel line today, it says fuel injection 150psi on it
i went all over town, (to literly 8 stores looking for the band style clamps, all i could find was in 1-1/2" and larger
where can i order a few for 3/8" fuel line?

i have the screw style clamo pn there now and it seems good, but i'd like to get the correct clamp

BTW: the line i bought was $8.50 per foot, (ouch)
but if it works then........
i bought 5 ft, and only used like 3-1/2 too bad i cant return the left over
