OK, so I've had a PayPal account since '01, but I've only ever used it to buy things, never to sell...Until recently.
I did notice that when your credit card on file expires, they automatically revert to taking directly from the bank account on file, which takes longer to pay with. I did NOT know, that when receiving money, you not only have to go into PayPal and "receive" the transaction (easy enough), but...And here's the kicker...
Money received via PayPal STAYS in PayPal until you withdraw it from PayPal and send it to your bank account!!!
Something for new PayPal sellers, like myself, to know, so you don't plan on money from sales to automatically be in the bank account you have on file with PayPal.
Oh...And PayPal's owned by eBay, and is no more interested in resolving issues than eBay is...Beware.

yes, they leave it in your Paypal account, incase they need to take it back, if a dispute occurs. If you are aware of that,as you have just become , you can transfer it to your Bank account..but they can still take it from there, if your Bank account is associated with Paypal. I have my Bank automatically take out any payment received through Paypal immediately, and transferred to an unrelated bank account Nick PS TRiAD...sorry but there is no new stock of the tint in yet..checked today Might try Fiero1Fan in Germany..that is where it comes from originally , if you are in a real hurry. FYI I have had a Paypal account since day 1 and you DO NOT have to "receive" the transaction. It just goes there.
That is strange..When I have sent a payment sometimes, and go to my account overview, it does say under 'actions' that the payment is 'awaiting receipt by Payee'..Not by any means trying to say you are wrong ..just something I have seen on my Account history page? Nick

My payments are usually in Paypal immediately, I did however just read that they may actually put a hold on all eBay related payments until delivery is confirmed or the buyer leaves positive feedback.

PayPal sucks. IMHO Those who use PayPal....why ? Can't wait for a check to clear? Can't wait to get what you bought ? Willing to give PayPal managerial rights over your monies ?

If the buyer is using an unconfirmed address, the transaction will not automatically clear. You will have to choose to accept the payment. This is because when someone pays using an unconfirmed address, the seller is not covered under Paypal Seller Protection.

I just got a paypal debit card. It costs me nothing other than ATM fees if i choose to use an ATM to get cash, but I can pass that buy going to a CVS pharmacy and buying a candybar and getting cashback.
I use paypal as a seller because its more convenient for most buyers out there. I also do accept credit card, check and MO though if the buyer does not have paypal.

FYI, the debit card is the best way to get your cash fast and if you have a Chase bank near you their ATM's do not charge you a fee for withdrawing money.
