I just bought a 2005 Corolla-S, and didn't get a keyless remote with it when I bought it. I called the person I delt with when I bought the car, and he told me he would get me one. Before I called I did some research online about keyless remotes and found various threads about programming them yourself by using a certain series of actions such as opening and closing the door, putting the key in the ignition and taking it out, etc etc. Well I don't have the keyless remote yet, so I don't know what the model remote it will be, but does anyone have any experience with this? A good place to look for how to program the remote? I'm not sure how different it is to program the keyless remote from one year/type of toyota to another. The only reason I don't want to just take it back where I bought it is because the place is like 2 and half hours and I won't have any time within the next could of weeks/the next month to make it down to Fallschurch VA again. Plus I need to get the car inspected for the state of MD and they need to send me my tags once they get comfirmation of the inspection. So I just told the guy to send the key and keyless entry when they send the tags. Hopefully they follow through.
Sooo any help appriciated.
Thanks, Matt

Sitting in car, key off, drivers door open, all others closed.
key in, key out key in, key out close door, open door close door, open door key in, key out close door, open door close door, open door key in, close door, turn to on then back to lock
locks should lock press and hold lock and unlock together on remote, release, push and hold unlock locks should unlock
If you have TDS remote, push the LED button in and out 4 times, horn should honk, push red button, push led two more time, then push third button.
Its been many months since I had to do one, but I'm pretty sure those are accurate.

Impressive, thank you very much. My girlfriend is picking up the keyless entry remote this friday before she heads up to my place, so I will try it friday. Hopefully it works, thank you very much. Plus for you? Out of curiousity, you have a corolla-s? If so, do you like it?

Made an edit... had someone at my front door and I fired it off before proof reading.
I was a tech for Toyota for several years. Left to work at a Mitsu/German shop last fall
S is a solid car, you shouldn't have any issues with it. The ECUs were a little flakey in the early fly by wire models, so an extended warranty might not be a bad idea. Can't remember if 05 had elec throttle or not, I think they were first year.

Yeah well I bought it with 53000 miles on it, its certified with factory warranty to 100,000 miles or 2011, and I bought the Bumber to bumber warranty that covers everything to 100,000 miles. Well I will keep you updated, again, thanks for the help.
