Before the junkyard gets my 95 S-10, I want to pull the factory AM/FM/CD Player out to install into the S10 I just bought that only has an AM/FM/cassette deck in it.

I don't know if the CD Player was original to the 95 S-10 as the previous owner was a mechanic with a Chevy Dealership and bought and fixed the truck after it was totaled in 1997.

A) Can anyone let me know if there is anything special I need to do in removing a the unit with Theft-Lock.

B) Can it be installed into my current S-10 without any cost to me to resolve this theft-lock system.

Even if the Theftlock is activated (meaning it has a security code), follow my link and you can both find the code and deactivate it.

Aceman, does the red light flash on the front of the radio with the truck turned off? If not, then the TheftLock is not activated, and you can pull it out with no problem and install it in your new truck. lf the light is flashing...follow the link in Monkeyman's post. It covers just about every situation with the TheftLock radios.
