Herb Peterson, who was the creator of what is arguably the best fast food sandwich on the market, died at home this week.
The "Eggamuffin" is basically
eggs Benedict with processed American cheese food in place of hollandaise sauce. Unlike other fast food breakfast sandwiches, it uses whole eggs rather than scrambled eggs from a can, as well as a slice of ham instead of greasy, fat laden sausage or fried beef or chicken. Add the toasted [often burnt] English muffin, a slice of cheese food product, and you have a tasty, easy to eat sandwich thats much less crappy than all the competitors greasy breakfast buns.
Hint: Ask for some salsa at the counter, or keep a bottle of hot sauce in your car. This really kicks...helps the sandwich taste even better!

I frequently enjoy the "Eggamuffin" and hope that the McDonalds corp will offer sandwiches at the original 1972 price in honor of the passing of Herb Peterson.
