Nice Nick. Glad to see there are still companies willing to back up their tools.
I got one for you.
I bought a Thermadyne Dragon Plus a year or so back. The thing is great, cuts threw ― steel like butter. Has a built in compressor so I can cut anywhere I can find 220 volt plug.
But the dam thing hates moisture. It eats consumables like a fat man at an all you can eat buffet. The higher the humidity the more it eats. And they aint cheep, well they are but when you go threw a half dozen in a half hour at 6 or 7 bucks each it does get expensive.
Well last may I Emailed the company, they are right in New Hampshire. American Made no less.
Here is a copy of the email I got back.
Steve,
Thank you for purchasing the Drag Gun Plus. If it was a recent purchase your unit should have had the Humidity Removal Kit already installed. If it was an model left over from 2006 it may not have one. The new model has a clear lexan bowl with a float device to remove moisture before going into the compressor. If it does not have one the distributor you purchased unit from should contact Thermadyne technical support. They will either send out a kit or ask that the unit be sent back to have kit installed. and issue an retuned goods number. In some cases when the humidity is extremely high you may manually drain the water bowl more often than letting the float device do the job. Please let me know if this is the case.
Well I called the supplier I bought it from last week, local welding supply house. Explained everything to the guy and he said send him the email so he could look into it.
Well Monday he called me back and said one was on the way to them and they will UPS it to me as soon as they get it.
Well it arrived today. I was expecting a regular water filter like you put on your own compressor. The box was huge, I opened it and this is what I found.

No Charge for anything, even shipping was free. I figured I would have to drill holes in the case/cover to install the filter, low and behold it came attached to a new cover and all.
Nice when a company still builds things here, and backs up what they make.
