i spilled a little bit of liquid on my laptop's screen. it hit at the base of the screen and the plastic edging- if that makes sense....and it looks like the liquide got behind. as the liquid "spread" behind the screen, the affected areas where brighter. is there a way to fix/clean this?

edit for clarification: the screen looks like if you took two thin sheets of plastic and put a drop or two of water inbetween them.

What type of liquid is it? If it's just water, it'll eventually dry out. If it's soda, juice, tea, coffee, etc then it'll leave a stain. You could probably take it to a computer repair place and have it cleaned. And try to keep the food & drink away from the computer.

As long as its not a Mac, its easy to take apart. Taking the screen apart on my HP isnt the easiest thing to do since it has no exposed screws, but the plastic is forgivving as long as you have a steady and slow hand to pry tabs open.
