God Wants You To Have A Great Sex Life Friday 02-22-2008 8:49am ET
Relevant Church is offering an interesting challenge to its members: 30 straight days of sex or no sex at all. Married couples are expected to have sex at least once a day, every day, for a month. Single people are to abstain from any sexual activity. For more on the church go to www.relevantchurch.com. ********************* Sounds like a recruiting drive to me. Actually, my understanding is that the Relevant Church believes the high divorce rate today is based on the lack of sex between married couples.
From their web site: Go to our blog and download the 30-Day Sex Challenge guide here
People are not having enough sex. An epidemic of breakups prove the needs that lead to a great sex life are being overlooked. Dirty dishes, frumpy clothes, and a lack of authentic connections are killing the romance. A great sex life is a challenge and takes focus, determination, and planning. Some say it’s an unrealistic goal, but we disagree. We believe you can have a great sex life, in fact we believe God wants you to have a great sex life.
Relevant Church is proposing a challenge encouraging married couples to purposely engage in sexual activity for 30 days and singles to intentionally forgo sexual activity for 30 days. We know, it sounds crazy. However, we believe this challenge will not only improve sex lives, but also strengthen relationships. In this series married couples will review the obvious needs of him and uncover the forgotten needs of her and singles will cut through the illusions and consider the qualities that result in healthy relationships.

Here you go again with another sex topic Blackrams. What's up with that?
I had to comment on this statement though:

That would mean sex during the cycle for the married couples. Eewww! Not happening in my house. I do agree though. God does want you to have a great sex life. He created it for enjoyment and procreation. There are are parameters though.

Hmm, you don't like that topic? OK, I'll not post any topics like that again.

Obsessed, Hmm, well according to everything I've read and heard, the average male thinks about sex every 6 minutes, the average woman is way over that. I can't say that's necessarily true in my case but, when I run across things I think others will be interested in, I post them. In that you've noticed, I have to assume that you have read the postings. Actually, this was the topic of the radio talk show I was listening to this morning and I thought I share it just as most of the postings I find are based on what I hear on the radio. I appreciate your concern for me and I'll try to refrain from posting such topics from now on. I don't believe you can point to anything that I've ever posted or portrayed as perverted but then, I really don't know your definition of perverted. Thanks for pointing this out. Have a great day.
Edited: Having consider Jim's comments and his apparent concern over my supposed "obsession", I've come to the conclusion that Jim's concern really doesn't matter to me or anyone that knows me. Therefore, if I just happen to find an interesting thing to post that may or may not have something to do with sex or any other subject. I'll post it if I have an interest and/or believe others might have an interest.
To Jim, If what I post bothers you, please refrain from opening my posts. Thanks. ------------------ Ron

I think God needs to have a little conversation with MY wife.....
O.K. so say I am a member of that church. As I am currently 1300 miles from home I either have to break a commandment, or quit my job and the church loses its 10%. Tough call

Easy guy. Now you have taken it too personal. Nothing you have posted bothers me. I did not say you were perverted. I said " I don't mind talking about sex as long as it doesn't get perverted." As I try to recall I don't remember you saying or going that direction in any of your sex related post. It was just an off handed remark said in jest that did not translate well in written form. No personal attack was intended or implied. So you can back off of your aggressive posture. Where as before I wasn't really putting any heavy thought into my comments, it does appear, from your response that a cord may have been struck. Either way, peace be to you.
