As some of you remeber here, I work for a friend who is a big supporter of the TV show DoctorWho and has his own shop located in Chicagoland area (Alien Entertainment) just outside the city. Every year (last 5 years for myself personaly) we do a show in California in a little known town called LA and have one hell of a good time there, or least I do since my friend does not party as hard as I do while there. And as I have posted before the convention is quickly making its way around, February 15-17 to be exact.
Now along with this show a small company has put together a cruise where the fans get a more intimate setting to hang with the stars of the show and various other Sci-Fi shows, and go on a cruise ship to various destinations either before or after the LA convention. This year two friends of mine are going on that curise but with a small twist that was announced to them while attending my show in Chicago. They cordinator of the cruise set up a fund to help pay for thier trip because at the LA show my friends are getting married and the cruise is thier wedding/honeymoon gift from the generosity of the fans who attend the conventions.
Now a little background on these two can be found at the link provided, and trust me these two are very deserving of this cruise that many are helping to make a reality, they have been through some rough times together and by reading the links you can read what I mean by that.
Now before I catch any hell from someone here, I am in no way asking that anyone donates unless THEY want to. This is more of a bring-to-your-attention link. But out of the 10,000 or so registered forum members here it would be cool to meet up anyone here at one of these shows, I just can not believe that I am the only one here that has been to the Chicago or LA DoctorWho convention sheez....................................................................anyway heres the link, thanks for looking.

As I have mentioned in a older thread there are only a few more LA shows left before they will end, any DoctorWho fans should try and attend if they are able because Shaun and his crew do put together an outstanding show for the price that they ask. Anyone who has attended a Creations Convention can attest to that by looking at the gust list and camparing it the price of a ticket.

If I could afford it right now I'd donate to the cause. Unfortunately this is a very sloooooowwwww time for our business here. Cute couple though. I have a friend who has also been living with that terrible disease for about 20 years. There are a very small number of people with a long term survival. I'm glad Jenny is hanging in there. My Step-Dad has had a huge amount of heart surgery too like Ed I hope everyone in LA has a blast. See you in Chicago this year!

I was more looking for a "best wishes" than money, this time of year is tight for most.
Wish you could make LA over Chicago, this would be the one to goto since the wedding has been added to the convention program, and the reception is left up to my friend and I, which we now have a suite to accomidate the festivities.
