On and off, the past three weeks or so. Feelin' tired, some nasal congestion...This past week has been the worst. A few times, it feels like somethin's pushing out against my eyeballs, pain near my temples, my teeth hurt, (sinus pressure). I basically feel like I have had a few beers, my eyesight's almost blurry at times, and I just feel "floaty". My blood pressure is "normal" (120/80) and I have been getting a decent amount of sleep.
I haven't been drinking a lot of coffee or other stimulents, have been drinking water and eating decently... I used a saline mist spray thingie., and that helped a little...
Right now, my nose is clear, but I feel like I am half-drunk... Bah.

Yup. Definately sounds like a sinus infection or sinusitis. That water thing will help flush out your sinuses and maybe reduce some of the swelling and pressure. But if you do have an infection, you'll probably need some antibiotics. I'd go see a doc and get checked out. If you feel like the areas under your eyes and into the cheek bone areas are on fire, there's a good chance it's a sinus infection.

it's brain-slugs. as they mature and grow the intracranial pressure builds, causing the symptoms you describe. but dont worry, full dementia sets in after they lay their eggs, so you wont feel a thing when your head explodes at hatching time.
the newly-hatched slugs crawl around looking for a new host, and the cycle begins anew. all part of the wonderful cycle of life.

I don't trust doctors... they try to give you "medicine" that "cures" you...
Besides, I kinda enjoy the conversations I have with my brain slugs...
I went to the doc when I first feeling like crappola, he didn't find anything...
That neti pot will definitely fix you up. I've only had a couple of sinus infections over the last few years since I started using it and they've never lasted more than a day or two. No antibiotics. I also use it several times a day when I start to feel a cold coming on. If I catch it soon enough the cold never takes hold.I know it looks weird, but it's really not uncomfortable at all. It's actually kind of soothing once you get used to it. I've recommended these to all kinds of people, and everyone who's ever tried it always thanked me afterwards. Most of them claim to do it every day. I think most people just have to get past the apparent weirdness factor. Something you should have no trouble with.

yes, for me the same - catch it before it sets in - and you can knock it out in a weekend, with no bad symtoms. I have also for the last few years been making sure I drink lotsa lotsa OJ. it does work. it keeps you from getting sick/infected. and, if I feel a little something coming in - I use this stuff "Germ defense" - a super vitamin boost & some other goodies - a tablet that dissolves in a glass of water like a alka-seltzer.

I tried it once, and it DID feel soothing.
Heck, some people look at me funny when I tell 'em I use a tongue cleaner... (then again, They MIGHT be giving me funny looks because I'm talking about how I scrape my tongue while they are squattin' in a bathroom stall, and I'm peeking down at 'em from up over the top...)
How are your teeth? Ever had any cavities? I'd also consider the possibility of an impacted or abscessed tooth.
And this probably sounds really gross, but a better description of the mucus could help determine virus vs. bacteria. Yellow, green, brown are generally bacterial, clear can be either. Of course one type of infection can lead to opportunistic infection of the other type. If it's a virus, it's not a dental thing, obviously.
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor.... but I DO play one on PFF!

Keep you sinus passages clear...check the discharge if its green or yellow, then you have an infection. Or, even worse red. Its all a matter of maintanence. Of course its always best to see a dr.

BTW that nassal flush(I use NeilMed sinus rinse) helps alot if you work in dirty or dusty areas. My wife is a welder and she uses it because of all the stuff she inhales from grinding. Also if you find yourself getting clogged up frequently you may want to cut down on dairy. I have found this helps.
