Just what the topic ask. I know what G-machine are, but what does the G stand for? Garage machine? G-Force machine. I've been lurking hoping to find the answer without having to ask, but no luck.

Are you referring to a car that can pull more than 1.0g in a turn? If so, it means the car can pull a turn so hard that the sideways force is equal to or greater than the force of gravity.

"Gravity"

Roller coasters can exert 4+ G's on passengers during turns and banking maneuvers. That means if you normally weigh 150lbs, it would feel like you weigh 600lbs.

G is gravitational force.

G-Machine, if I assume what you are talking about, are cars or boats that can brake or turn and capable to withstand one extra g-force

Yes I was refering to cars. And your replies are what I was assuming it meant. The G stands for G-force or Gravitational force. BTW: Does anyone remember The G-Force cartoon. It had a ship that separated into 5 vehicles. I think the villan was named Zoltar. (that has nothing to do with my original question)
