Well, I am thinking of buying a Tiburon to replace my daily driver. Does anyone have any thoughts on if these cars make good daily drivers also I need it to be good in snow and ice. Also what about gas mileage? I am thinking about an 03-04 GT, GS-R or Tuscani

Hyundai doesn't deserve the reputation it's getting. It's decent quality and you can't beat the price or warranty. If I was in the market for a new vehicle, I'd consider Hyundai (or Kia).

if it was rwd it would have something goin for it.. but its a nice car and fairly quick with a 6speed, i wouldn't own one.
The new one WILL be RWD. Unfortunately this is just a fan concept but I like it!
quote
WINDING ROAD met with Hyundai VP John Krafcik and company communications man Miles Johnson in Ann Arbor this morning. The two sat in for a quick meeting before a long series of interviews and dealer meetings they’re doing in the area. We discussed our recent Hyundai cover story (“Hell Freezes Over”), which had a tremendous amount of reader response–particularly to the image of the black coupe that we featured as a part of their forthcoming product strategy.
Krafcik went on record to specifically note that the new rear-drive coupe will not have a V-8, but rather a V-6. When we pressed him on whether the car would have turbochargers or superchargers, he deflected our query. We never got a straight answer on that question, but he did specifically say we’d be very impressed with the power-to-weight ratio in the car when it hits production. He also took a few friendly jabs at our design (above) and said that the production model is quite a ways away from what we dreamed up. He said it would be even better.

I like the 2nd generation alot. I think that was the best body style change of almost any vehicle. The first wasn't bad looking but had some odd angles..With the 2nd they kept the general look of the car but cleaned up the lines and really gave it more of a muscle look.

They go fairly decent in the snow, not the best, like a Subaru, but for front wheel drive goes good. I never owned one, but my ex-girlfriend parents owned one and I drove it everyday, even in the winter. Their was a GT, it was nice but if you plan having passengers you better hope for just one, the back seat doesn't have a whole lot of room. I would buy a newer one if I had the money and the room in my driveway. If you do buy it and drive it in the winter, buy some snow tires, the car goes better snow tires Versus all season tires.
Ms Formula has one and it seems like it goes good in the snow. I don't think its really ever had a problem.
I just picked up a Cobalt for a daily driver and she said that its a lot easier to drive, you could pick up a cobalt ss new for as much as a used tiburon gt.
