Well the GOOD news is, over the past week and a half, I started dieting and exercising again. I was able to maintain my weight over the summer while I was home, and after being back in school a month, found I had only gained 3 lbs (gained 20 total over the course of last year).
So over the past week and a half, I lost 15 pounds! And I only exercised twice the first week, because my arms were so sore after the first day I could hardly move them.
And the bad news... the past few days I've had this horrible craving for KFC. So tonight I went out, and did something I've always wanted to do, so I could get it out of my system: I bought a 10-piece bucket of original recipe, and ate the skin off every piece. Also ate a small thing of coleslaw and half a thing of the macaroni and cheese. BUT by doing this, I'm able to remind myself, "That was NOT worth it" and the way I feel now, I think I'll be good for another couple weeks.

Im going through the same thing. Ive been dieting and working out for 2 weeks now. I am 6"2' and i weigh 240 lbs. Im not huge, but im sick of being fat. Ive been doing a buttload of push-ups and crunches. Went out and bought a treadmill, and started using the weight bench in my basement. After the first week i lost 10 lbs, but i can see my muscles getting bigger from lifting weights, and ive gone back up 3 lbs.
Seems like its a never ending battle, if you have the urge to eat something just dont eat anything else, lol. For example, i wanted chipotle all day, so today i went and got a burrito for lunch, and thats all im eating.
When you feel like quitting look in the mirror, it usually changes how you feel.
Better to eat a smaller amount of those naughty things spread out in a 'naughty day" then to not eat anything all day, then pig out. Your body goes into "starvation mode" and makes ya keep more of it, cuz who knows when you will eat again....
Jack Lalane said if you can buy it in a store, don't. If it tastes good spit it out. I'm 5' 9, 272, will be 50 yo 11/20 and Tomorrow I'm looking for a personal trainer to chase me up the mountian trail behind my house, hope I don't die and pray for me my wife dosen't find out.
