I don't know how many of you on here have read Robert Jordans wheel of time series or not, but they are awesome books. Sadly though, Jordan passed away on September 16th from Amyloidosis, leaving the series he started in 1990 unfinished.

I mentioned it here:

Anyway, he was one of my favorite authors and I'm very sad to see him go...

Loved his early work. Hope they find a way to finish the series.

That said.. still really sucks to see a good writer/person pass.

sorry.. as a fan of the series.. was really hoping for an end.. or better progression.. the last couple have been vague and wandering.

Sucks to see him leave.. but would be nice to see someone like Gemmell finish out the series..

Rumors and Trolls

Beyond expressions of sadness at Jordan's passing, I have no doubt the most frequent question/concern will be, "What happens to WoT?"

I talked with Jason about this. He said that Jordan has been dictating outlines and plot lines and everything else related to the final book. He used the phrase "army of writers" to talk about the people that were converting those tapes into written form.

It would appear that the final book will still be published, I'm sure details regarding that will work themselves out. So please be patient (as challenging as that might be), and for now let's focus on Jordan's life, writing, and the joy he brought to us.

My wife quit reading those books because she said, although good, they were enormous, too far apart, and re-reading them to refresh for the next up coming book was a chore since the books were 5 bibles thick. and the man never seemed to want to finish writing them.

Diehard fans will be happy to know though that durring his failing health, Jordan shared with his friends and family the ending of the final 1,500 page series ender, so it will be finished.

Apparently the publisher is in a pickle as to how to actually MAKE the book, they are having a tough time developing a way to bind the 1,500+ page book together so it will not fall apart. hehe
