I haven't gotten any help on technical or programming forums, so I thought I'd give it a shot here.
I'm trying to use SoftICE to debug one of my own programs, but I'm having issues. When I try to bring up the SoftICE console (CTRL-D), the computer appears to freeze..... but if I hit it again a few times, it comes back to normal. This makes me think it's loading the console and interrupting the system properly, but the console just isn't being displayed.
This is on a P4 Northwood core computer, nothing that would be a variable that I can think of except it's using an ASUS/GeForce 6800 512MB vanilla. I've tried every driver I can find to no avail. I've tried the virutal "window" mode an fullscreen... neither works. I've also tried manually increasing the video ram size setting in the SoftICE config, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. BTW, this is SoftIceNT v 4.2-something, I think. Thanks.
