Is this not a good thing? Home builders and the real estate industry have done very well for themselves during this past boom, selling properties at an often largely inflated price often well outside of the reach of the average working person. The market needs a correction, or even a crash if you will, to bring prices down to reflect whats going on in the rest of the globe.

Let the real estate market and the speculators suffer, they created this mess, they can now deal with it.

I brought that up as an illustration of people's attitudes toward the president, not to start a long discussion about what went wrong post-Katrina. But the primary responsibility is LOCAL, i.e., city and state government first, not the president.

Anyway, if you and Conn would simply admit that you will always criticize Bush for whatever he does or does not do, then this can be a short discussion.
