hi guys, I just ended up trading my motorcycle for a 1995 Geo Tracker 2-door ragtop, I am just wondering if anyone here is familiar with their aftermarket and if so, can you please give me a few helpful links or info. I want to lift it and put my Blazer's 31x10.5 tires on it (so I can put 33s on my blazer). I would love to find a forum like this one, but any aftermarket info would be much appreciated... lift kits, tricks to more MPG's, HP, TQ, gear ratios, anything would help me out. thanks everyone

One trick for mileage is to forget about the huge tires...

Those things don't have the power to turn them or the brakes to stop them and they will kill your mileage.

I had a Suzuki Sidekick and I loved it!. Exactly the same car, just different badges. I got the Sidekick from my brother-in-law who basically beat the snot out of it 4x4ing. He rolled the thing down a hill and I bought it from him for $500. I stripped it down, got about 10 gallons of sand out of the interior, stripped the body and repainted it. Car ran perfectly... you can't kill those things. I put a 3" body lift on it and some meaner tires. Looked absolutely fierce. If you do a do-it-yourselfer body lift, you just need to check your brake lines in the front, they get a bit stretched at 3" of lift. Other than that, its a half-day job. Six bolts, if I remember correctly, but that was a long time ago. I wish I still had pics of it.

Good luck with the project.

I had a gf that had one. Dont ever try to unbolt anything. Everything is hex head sheet metal screws and they always twist right off. Even the bumpers are held on with only 4 of those sheet metal screws, as if the bumpers themselves were stronger than a soda can. Hers ran like 4000 rpm on the freeway and I seriously doubt it could go much faster than 70 mph. I just needed to change a headlite and it was a 3 hour ordeal because all of the mounting screws broke, had to be ground down and retapped just to mount the new one. I think they use grade one screws. Id buy a motorcycle before id ever buy one.....and they turn over easier than a cycle too........ In my shop, I WONT do any thing except paint work on one....if anything needs to come off or be replaced , I tell them no.
