Has anyone ever seen this done? I have an 86 firebird and don't care for the stock wing on it and love the look think a fiero spoiler would look better. If anyone has any pictures of one on a similar year firebird or trans am could you post it here.

I also need the measurements of a fiero spoiler from end-to-end and between the center of the spoiler mounts.

the firebird spoiler measurements are:
60 3/8" (end-to-end. Measured from the front points)
39 3/8" (between center of spoiler mounts)

Thanks in advance,
-Caleb

I had a 3rd Gen 87 Camaro in high school that I put a fiero wing on. I actually had to weld the exsisting holes shut and then add the holes in for the Fiero wing. I did back up the wing to where it hung over the tail lights and it looked really good. It hung over the sides a bit but looked like it was built that way.
I will try and look for some pictures of it.

The Fiero wing should look good on the Firebird.
FWIW... Even though they use the same decklids (hatches?) the Firebird fenders don't seem to taper in quite as much at the top as the Camaro's, so the overhang at the tips should be even less.
I put a 92 Z28 wing (the tall, outrageous one) on my 88 Firebird. It would have been perfect if it had been an inch wider.

Nevermind. Thanks anyway. Turns out a guy on the Firebird forum I am a member of just did it to his car. I still could use the measurements of a fiero spoiler though. The guy on the firebird forum hasn't had time to take them yet.

Sorry BH2OFiero I have looked and looked for pictures and have had no luck, my wife tends to think I didn't take anymore pics of the car after I put the wing on the car. I am real sorry I thought I had taken pic just before I sold it.

59 1/2 end to end, 27 inches between.
(note) The end to end measurements are on forward side of the spoiler. The Fiero spoiler curves slightly inward on the rearward edge. I could not get an exact measurement but it is right at 58 inches.

I put a Firebird wing on a Fiero once, does that count?

I measured from the forward side as well. That's not too much of a difference.

27" from center to center of the mounts. looks like I'll be filling and drilling some holes.

Did it hang over the sides just a tad? I have a few pictures now of a fiero spoiler on a firebird and even though it's shorter it seems to slope better with the car.

Finally got the pictures resized and viewable...so here they are.

I think it's a big improvement over the stock firebird spoiler. And of course I am also happy to include anything fiero into my other vehicles.

Doesn't look to bad at all. I like the way you hung over the back end a bit. Good job!
