You need a program called "Get Data Back" for Fat32.

Since you have Windows 98, you are on FAT32 to begin with anyway.

I have the utility for you.

You can toss it on a USB Thumbdrive. It is too large for a floppy. It does not need to be installed.

If that dosent work send me a PM and I will see what I can do.
DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING TO THAT DRIVE AND DO NOT DEFRAG if you put files on the drive you could loose your data. You probably know that but just in case.
