If this is the one with the BMW and the truck... I believe it was staged (it has been a while since seeing this).

In this age of cell phones, I was actually surprised that the two cretins in the pickup truck weren't led by the Beemer pilot into a waiting cluster of police cars...

I agree that it was staged. When someone suddenly sees that the guy he's been following has a drawn pistol, I doubt that 99.9% of the population would have the initial reaction to keep the camera pointing and zoom in on the gun. A more believable scenario would have been to have the camera catch the gun, then seen the footage whip around and film the ground as the cameraman suddenly books it for someplace without drawn guns. Watch any of the real-life video shows. Even the footage done by professional cameramen suddendly gets very chaotic when danger presents itself. Unless the cameraman was a COPS or war journalist, I doubt he'd have the presence of mind to keep the camera properly trained.

Screw that I would have shot the guy in both legs when he came me with a bat, then had them arrested for stalking and aggrivated assault. I dont think it would have been a hard self defense case, he tried to run, he tried to get away, they followed him down a remote dead end road and trapped him at the end. As long as he had the video tape it would have been open and shut. We'll you would have to have yelled drop the weapon a couple of times, and he would have to have been approaching still with the bat to justify shooting him, so maybe the video would get lost before the police got there.

Wait, was that in Texas? Do you even have to have a self defense claim in texas, lol? "Well they called me a name... so I shot them..." NOT GUILTY Yeeaaa Haahaha!!! *judge jumps up and fires revolvers into the air*

That happened to me once, I was in a 4cyl Fiero, they followed me home where my father unloaded a 44 magnum at the car. Now with the 3.8SC im not sure if I would just outrun them, or let them follow me into a trap. Probably the latter. Unless I was carrying at the time, where in I would just let them follow me out into a remote area and unload the gun over thier heads.

The other alternative would have been to get going about 60 and jam on the E-brake (E-brake = no brake lights) and let them slam into the BMW, Your insurance would cover the damages when theirs maxed out, and you could get their houses and everything they owned in the injury settlement. I do that every now and again when I get some idiot riding my butt, that or drop it into 1st, its easier that way, cause you can nail the gas if they're not going to be able to stop, avoiding an actual collision, but it sure gets them to back the hell off. Maybe im just a magnet for Jack A. drivers, I dunno.

I also carry a 9mm anytime i leave the house. However, you have no idea if they have a shotgun or 2 in the truck. Id rather not have to find out.

Let them crash into you? Might be suprised how bad you can get hurt even from a little crash. ( i know from experience, still recovering )., You also might be surprised how little $ you get back in most cases, especially if you have something like a Fiero which is hard to value. ( again, i unfortunately know this from experience, my law suit is approaching 2 years now )

Now that said, im still liable to slow down some and flip them off, but i wont take it too much further then that anymore, its just not worth the risk these days too many looines out there with a deathwish.

I'd be more than happy to fullfil that wish for some people.

But yea, I was refering to the guy and his BMW, insurance companies are going to treat that a little diffrent, and im sure the guy has the money for a scum sucking blood thirsty lawyer. Though with the woman in the car I probably wouldnt have but let them bump me if that.

You have to remember though, for every uneducated idiot out there who wants to go and pull crap like this, there is an intelligent, abliet slightly off base, person who is very creative and has nothing better to do than make them regret what they did for a very long time.
