I could have used one of those a few times when I locked me keys in the house.

I wonder if that'd work on cars....

Because its cheaper to make one from a key blank.

Then again, theirs might be stronger. Standard blanks eventually have to be replaced.

there is an easier way... they actually have somethight that looks like a gun with a jagged tooth design... when you pull the trigger it bounces it up and down to do the same thing. most places it's only $4.00 and it'll open most locks.

Thats a pick gun. Never seen one for $4 though, so cool pintos.

But if a cop sees you with it, its obviously a burglury tool and, unless you are a locksmith, illegal for civvies to carry.

YIKES!

I love how this guy says this technique is not new. It's been widely known for quite a time. But now he's making even more known by use of the internet! Greeeeeeeeeeeeeat!!!! It's ****ing great how the internet keeps on giving knowledge to the criminals of today and tommorow. The internet sucks.... It's going to destroy us.
I always told myself I'd never be the kind of guy to own a gun. That belief is becoming more and more diminished.

You will need several different pick guns to open all the locks they show. I have three sizes and they are not 4 bucks each. They don't work in double sided locks. The bump keys don't work so easy as they show. They will work in ball style spring locks but door locks that require a forceful turn at just the right time are another story.

I would equate these working easy in reality to an uneducated deviant yanking wires from under a car dash connecting a wire to another and driving off. Nothing is that easy. Except breaking into a Fiero.

LOL well you would have had time to go to the shed for the one ingredient and the laundry room for the other because it takes forever to get a door open with a bump key.
I must have really went to a bad grammer school. You get extra credit if you can tell me how to make a Chlorine bomb correctly with out killing yourself.

why don't u just buy a lockpick set? u can get one for like 20 bucks, and it takes what 5 mintues to open a door? I opend up my apartment door with it like 5 times, and some padlocks at work, and a friends padlock at work. and that was with the amature set, it took me a few hours of sitting on my ass playing with a padlock to figure it out, i showed my girlfriends dad, and he was opening locks in 15 mintues with them.

One of the many skills I aquired in college was lock picking. And yes some locks can be picked very easily. Others not so. Of course they would have to know what you have whether it's a Kwikset or Schlage.

If someone wants to break in your house the little lock on the front door isn't much of a deterrent anyway. Most theives are going to just get a brick and smash open a window. The only think stopping them is that you might have a dog, or an alarm, or maybe someone inside with a gun.

At least picking locks requires skill.

Whats the diffrence? I opend alot of door locks with my set, and always used the same two tools, the little torque one to turn the lock, and the other little half curved pic, I didn't pay attantion to the type of lock i did it on, but im sure it was a few diffrent brands, and they all opend ok after 5-10 mintues.

What happened to that brand of locks they sold at Wal-Mart in the mid 90's that advertised they would pay $1,000,000 to someone if they could pick the lock?

The bumpkeys have been all over the news in DFW. They interviewed a local locksmith and he demonstrated how they work. I thief can get in so quietly and leave no trace of them being used. There are high dollar locks they will not work on, but run @ $130.00 a lock, but aren't your average door key either.
