I have an Apache based web server. I am looking for an app that I can put on the machine to allow streaming of video's. Right now if I put the video's in a folder and someone goes to that folder and clicks a movie it will save it then play it. I want it to be able to stream it.

Any suggestions on a simple app to do this. The video's are only need about 60kBps to run and I have 120kBps outbound pipe. (1.5mb)

Any suggestions on a simple app. It will not be for general public use. Mainly for my father to be able to watch home video stuff. He has a cable internet connection as well.

First you need to check if the proper mime-types have been setup (usually file /etc/mime.types) and the proper apache modules have been loaded (mod_mime_magic.so, mod_mime.so). If apache doesn't sent the proper mime types, you will never be able to stream.
