I have 2 turbo's I got in a trade that were sitting for awhile, one is an Air research T04, and one is a Garrett m24.

specs: (both)

Turbine: A/R .96

Compressor: A/R .60

one has a little resistance and the other seems fine. they look fine after cleaning them up.

what do ya think?

any resistance = time for a rebuild
but play is a bigger factor
something spinning 100,000 rpm can have no play

but rebuilding a turbo is fairly eazy just replace the bearings and seals
unless the shaft or blades is bent or wornout
parts are under a 100 for a like new turbo
to4 are fairly common but yours is the bigger one
still should have more to the IDlike to4E

and M24 is not a type just a casting mark on the inlet side
could be a t25 t28 or t28BB t3 maybe others too

with out knowing which has play and full ID of to4
and what Garrett you have hard to give a real value

Question wonder and be wierd
are you kind?

those maybe off a toyota 6 supra
unrebuilt they just a core worth a 100 or 2 each
new from the toy dealer VERY PRICIE
[BUT everything is from them!!!]
rebuilt with a kit of bearing and seals
[IF uncracked bent or wornout]
alot more then the cost of the rebuild parts + core
check e-bay or the toy forums for a current value
