I will be vacationing in Florida, around the Ft. Myers area.

Any good car stores, shops, or fun things to do in general?

Are there any drag strips around?

I will be here the week of Christmas.

Thanks

Naples has a great little zoo. Be sure to check it out while your there. Take the boat ride tour of the monkey islands.
If you want to drop $100++ on fine dining, NEKTAR is very enjoyable. Its in nearby Naples.
There are a few very good, affordable Greek owned restaurants there, but I can't remember any names. Ask around.
The Thomas Edison house/musem is worth a visit, and the Eden Winery is a small mom and pop operation like you don't see very often. I recommend the starfruit wine, it's unique and similar to white zinfandel. (forget the red wine. No cabernet clones here, ecch.)
Ft Myers is a nice town.

(These are my opinions. Your results may vary.)

Welcome, I'm in Punta Gorda, about 20 miles from Ft Myers.

Wish I could think of some cool stuff for you , but I can't think of any off hand.

We sometimes get a bunch of us together for a cruise with 6 or 7 Fiero's. If I hear of one in the next few days, I'll post it here.

Enjoy your stay.

coller collection has some really rare race cars in naples
indy winners, porsche racers, F-1 ect
but is private and very hard to get into,
like you have to know someone to be invited
or be in a group [like the local porsche club]
ask around it is worth the effort to get in if you can

there is allso another major car collection in sarasota
but thats mostly classics not racers
I think that one is public thou
